Lockmaker Assa Abloy posts higher 1st quarter operating earnings

April 23 (Reuters) - Swedish lockmaker Assa Abloy ASSAb.ST reported a 4% higher operating profit for the first quarter on Wednesday, and said it was well-positioned to adapt to changing market conditions and prioritize growth opportunities while taking cost actions where needed.
